...hers was a love match as well, which allows her to see no obstacles to Marianne and Willoughby when the time comes, as well as Elinor and Edward.

"Why should you be less fortunate than your mother? In one circumstance only, my Marianne, may your destiny be different from hers!"

The circumstance being, of course, the early death of her husband. Though from Marianne's POV, he must have been ancient indeed!
