I had to have my gallbladder removed in May of 1999, and I was out of work for a week. A friend brought me several videos to watch - P&P2, S&S2, MP1, E2 & P2. I had seen bits of P&P2 on A&E one night when it first aired, but I had missed the whole 1st half of it. I discovered the RofP while searching the internet to purchase my own copies of the videos/books. Then I purchased one large volume of all JA's complete novels, and S&S was the first one, so I read it first.

I had never cared for JA when I was in high school (we read P&P and I didn't understand the humor in it). It's funny how gall stones can bring about such a change! :-)
