Fictional places cannot be placed exactly Written by kathleen (elder) (2/14/2013 3:27 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, recap the canvas (a tad long), penned by Rae Elaine

I don't remember anything from the novel that would indicate that Cleveland and/or Combe Magna are really close to Bath -- is there some detail that I have forgotten? If I am correct, then this map is neither definitive nor helpful in answering the question. I also don't believe that it matters how close either of those two estates were to Bath, but that's another topic altogether.

I apologize for not understanding your Whitwell ("Delaford") remark -- I thought you were talking about the novel and conflating these two locations. I understand now that you were discussing a specific adaptation.
