..... I have quite a few quibbles with this account of JA. I always thought it as a box that broke, not a teapot. I think the "Irishman" is a combination of Tom Lefroy and the Deveonshire holiday man, that reputable sources (i.e. Cassandra) have said was NOT related to Lyme Regis.

Eleanor Coade may well have been a local, I don't know. But her factory was near London.
