...the very thing he was fighting for - not in a maternity ward - but in a hospital where he contracted an infection.

...Sounds too familiar, doesn't it? I just read a frightening article giving statistics on deaths caused by hospital bacteria in the US in the past few years.

...I don't mean to digress, but perhaps one can conclude that periodically these practices persist and complaints fall on deaf ears. Definitely in JA's time and here we go again.
