Definitively ...   Written by Lin (2/18/2003 7:15 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The annoying Park Honan, penned by Leif G-n
Are you new?

] ] I’m becoming increasingly annoyed with this biography. (Park Honan's) However, that is another topic altogether.

] I recognise that annoyance with Park Honan's peculiar way of writing. It's his style. [snip] But he is slightly irritating because of the assured way he is saying it.

Excuse my creeping out of lurkage, but I wanted so to add to this line. I had always refused to buy Park Honan's book because of the title, which I found very Lady C, as in "The Definitive Portrait...." There are other extremely good works, and none of them claim to be the definitive work ;)

I now own a copy -- my sons gave it to me for my birthday. I was unable to explain to them why I was laughing ;) For those of you concerned -- I did thank them beautifully, especially as they used their allowance to buy it.

Lin
