] You can find Deane, drawn fairly accurately My book Jane Austen: A Family Record describes Deane as: "a low damp place with small inconvenient rooms, and scarcely two on the same level" (quoted from one of their family history sources) and "with a thatched mud wall round its garden". The book also quotes from the Deane parish register:
