in consequence of the missive, That is a very narrow interpretation, penned by Diba
Looking it up in the dictionary, it mentioned lustre and sparkle. So I'm wondering if Miss Austen meant something else when using it to describe Captain Wentworth, referring more to his appearance or presence than his wit or intellect. Perhaps the male equivalent of bloom?
