Hardly. Anne was not a burden to Sir Walter.. she was problaby the only member of the family who lived within her budget and she certianly wasn't treated with any generosity by her father. His and Eliz's idea of economy was not to bring her a present when they came back from their London trips.. And Mrs Clay was not a burden to Sir W either.
