Mr Elliot   Written by Nikki N (3/17/2013 12:04 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Is morally wrong the same as evil?, penned by Stacey GC
Are you new?

I've read a critic who said that Mr Elliot is the WORST villain in all JA novels!

For most of the reasons bridget has given --
1. marrying a woman for her money and being unkind to her,

2. encouraging his friend Smith to extravagance and cold-heartedly refusing all assistance to the poor widow,

3. courting Anne and criticizing Mrs Clay to please her, while at the ame time seducing Mrs Clay to ruin her chances with Sir Walter.
