Although there is that bit about Mrs. Smith Written by TimLee (2/21/2013 3:02 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, And there is no evil antagonist, penned by Chandra S

It's a past wrong, but one he must know he can still rectify. He has no interest, and she continues to suffer. It does make his inaction evil in a sense.
