GR: Henry   Written by Kresel (4/25/2003 3:27 p.m.)
Are you new?

Posting at the tail end of this group read, I wanted to say what a true gentleman Henry Tilney is. He and Catherine are sort of an odd match to my mind in that he is her superior in most ways, intellectually and financially being the most obvious. He could have dropped her without any repercussion, except of course, for breaking her heart. But his conscience wouldn't permit it. I understand he grew to love her for her good qualities, and they are indeed admirable qualities, but surely he could easily have found a woman who could have satisfied both his father and him.
