I had a great time. I thoroughly enjoyed this group read, and I want to thank everyone. I was fortunate enough to have my spring break this week, so I was actually able to follow some of the threads and ask questions.
Monday is back to work for me, so I’d like to take the opportunity now to thank you all again for sharing your enlightening knowledge, wisdom and insight.
I have learned countless of new things, but I’d like to mention a few:
The general’s character and his influence on his children,
The gothic satire & the view of Eleanor as a “true’ heroin.
The idea of ‘teaching through pupil’s love for the teacher’,
And of course I learned the importance of loving a hyacinth & a rose.
I salute you all!
(p.s. not to mention the increase in my vocabulary...)
