] We see a match with similar ages in S&S (although Col. B is probably younger than the General). But then, Gen. T is no Col. Brandon!

The General would have to be at least in his late 40s to have sons the ages of Henry and Frederick. Colonel Brandon is 35--hardly old enough to have a 25 year old son and another older than that!
