GR: oh! another thought -   Written by Cherie (4/18/2003 10:31 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: the Tilneys, penned by Cherie
Are you new?

- about the missing mother - *Henry* is the person who 'mothered' Eleanor after their mother died. He shielded her somewhat from their father's moods. They may have been playmates in childhood, but during those bad years following mother's death - her adolescence - he became a companion and adviser and protector. No wonder he knows all about muslins & silks! Now his detailed knowledge of women's apparel becomes more clear. He's been a substitute mother for his little sister.

What do you think of that?
