Gr: NA How can anything Isabella does still surprise us?!   Written by Tanya Virginia (4/16/2003 11:32 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: So how much money do the Morlands have?, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

(moderate snippage)

] I assume the estate mentioned is one which will go to James after his father's death? So eventually his income will be £800-1,000. Mr. Bennet's income was £2,000, yes? This seems a more than comfortable income, certainly much more than Isabella's family has - there is no talk of her bringing a dowry or portion to the marriage and yet she is very disappointed.

] I don't know why I am shocked that ingratitude and selfishness is her response, but I find I want to give her a SUTH for her sheer gall... ;-p

We've had repeated proof of her (IT) insincerity, so far, that we must be innured to shock! Lest we be compared to Catharine's naivete. But, honestly, if I ever met Isabella in real life I'd probably be snowed by that much charm too, at least at first; so, every new instance of my "friend" crossing the line would shock me! 20/20 hindsight, I guess!
