GR: Letters?

GR: Letters? Written by Cheryl (4/14/2003 5:41 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: The Morlands letting Catherine go to NA, penned by Kristen G.

I suspect that Catherine has been writing letters home, and would have mentioned the Tilneys in those letters and so her parents would have caught a glimpse of their character and Catherine's affection for them.

And Henry being a clergyman, and the General's wealth and connections - perhaps they viewed it as a good opportunity for Catherine?

They do seem very laissez faire, though, don't they? :-/
