GR: The Abbey   Written by Emmeline (4/14/2003 7:33 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: Going Gothic?, penned by Caroline
Are you new?

] Abd what do you think of the Abbey? Is the abbey everything it ought to be, or was Catherine being unrealistic in expecting a high prominence, dense woods, etc, etc,?

In NA notes, it says:
'In being part modern, part Gothic, the latter part showing signs of medieval cells and cloisters, Northanger Abbey resembles the castle of Mazzini(Sicilian Romance), the abbey in Romance of the Forest, and Chateau-le-Blanc in Mysteries of Udolpho.'
