GR: Worked up   Written by Cheryl (4/13/2003 3:28 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: easy victim, penned by Cherie
Are you new?

] I think she's in a frame of mind that, no matter what Henry had described, she would have found things in the room & house that fit his tale closely enough to let her imagination outrun her reason.

Yes, and she gets so worked up after her light goes out and the wind rattles the shutters. She jumps into bed and imagines all kinds of horrors - murmurs in the hall, someone trying to open her door... LOL! Poor dear, she has really done herself in, hasn't she? ;-)

And how Henryesque of him to tease her about it in the morning:

"...his immediate hope of her having been undisturbed by the tempest, with an arch reference to the character of the building they inhabited, was rather distressing."
