|GR: Catherine's Joy

Catherine takes such joy in seemingly simple things, and her joy is wonderfully expressed. I read these lines and smile, truly pleased that Catherine is happy. Jane Austen does this so well, doesn't she?
After she is declared "pretty" at her first dance, she
"...went to her chair in good humour with everybody, and perfectly satisfied with her share of public attention."
She expresses her pleasure with such ease and lack of pretension. Who could not be charmed?
