GR: Family love   Written by Cheryl (4/6/2003 4:53 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, An accepted pitch? ;-), penned by Elena
Are you new?

] Well, Isabella promised to do the same, and love her dear Morland's family better than her own. I like Catherine's (or rather JA's) reaction, "This was a pitch of friendship beyond Catherine".

Isn't that a great line? Yes, Catherine cannot understand that. How can you love another's family more than your own? But then she does say of her own parents shortly after that

"It is impossible," said she, "for parents to be more kind, or more desirous of their children's happiness..."

I doubt Isabella could ever have said the same.
