One dares not say too much. ;-) but here's a tiny Henry .   Written by Ann2 (4/5/2003 1:08 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR - Preach it, sistah!! ;-), penned by CarolTS
Are you new?

] ] Whether he is "nearly" handsome or drop dead gorgeous matters little because he makes us laugh. Looks fade, but a good sense of humor lasts forever! :)

] I agree! I think Henry is the coolest of Jane's heroes! I love how funny he is ...

I say Amen to the above, but you know I couldn't say Hubba Henry, cause that has no real meaning to me.

I have a snippet from his second meeting with Catherine in chapter 8 though.
It's where Miss Tilney and her companion have been offered seats next to Mrs Allen and Mrs Thorpe and Henry remains standing after having conversed politely with Mrs Allen. Then follows:
...after a few minutes consideration , he asked Catherine to dance with him.
What was he thinking? It says earlier that Catherine catching Mr. Tilney's eye, instantly received from him the smiling tribute of recognition. This made me wonder what made Mr King introduce Mr T to Miss M in the first place. Was it arranged by Mr Allen or Mr Tilney or just a random choice? Was he asking her after some hesitation because it took a while for him to recall her charming response to his silliness one week ago or was he doubting the wisdom of renewed attentions?

I'll say no more. One must not rattle away too soon, something which could easily happen when one is considering this delightful creature. I find myself forever fearful of being subjected to Ms Sneed's terrible northanger. ;-)
