I imagine Isabella would have enough "social graces" to make a tolerable companion for half an hour or so. And I doubt that anyone could think that Catherine was like Isabella who had ever seen her... Catherine's candour and innocence being so easy to see... But of course if Catherine and Eleanor had not been placed together they could not have gone "through the first rudiments of an acquaintance" so soon...
