Are you new?

] There are versions with footnotes! Be still my heart!

There are several editions that come with footnotes, I know the World Classics, and Penguin editions do. The one I'm referring to, The Oxford Illustrated Jane Austen edited by Dr. Chapman, is kind of the authority on JA's writings. This was the first attempt to collect all her writings together (it also includes the juvenalia and some letters) and offers definitive texts, and footnotes, etc. The "Illustrated" part comes in in the occasional period drawings or plates.

I highly recommend the set. You can get the six-volume, hardcover set new at Amazon for about $60.00, I believe.
