I started a conversation on L&T about Isabella and Catherine pinning up each otheres' ballgowns, partly becasue I was interested in the concept,and partly to see if such a fashion detail might help to shed light on the "date" of the story as we know it. The resulting conversation has been very interesting- to me, at least.
