GR: Henry as narrator   Written by Cheryl (3/30/2003 7:36 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, There is one, penned by Elena
Are you new?

] Henry's barbs about journals , assumed astonishment and the whole of his conversation are in the same tune that the previous chapters of NA.

Henry does seem to take over the role of the narrator in exposing the parody, when he comes on stage, doesn't he? I love his imitation of the blase Bath veteran - and it is a true imitation with an assumed voice and posture and everything - "Have you been long in Bath, madam?" ... "Shall I tell you what you ought to say?", etc. Very funny and effective. ;-)

(Whoa! Just flashed on Frank Gorsham in Regency Garb...)
