In chapter 9:
This is during the dance session when '...neighbour Flamborough observed, that Miss Livy's feet seemed as pat to the music as its echo. A LOL line worthy of JA herself IMO.
chapter10:
The whole painting sequence is quite amusing '....some wondered how it could be got out, but still more were amazed how it ever got in.' - I do wonder.
Then in chapter 11, after the mortifying horse ride in the direction of the church:
The two ladies express their emotions aptly when told about it by Olivia;
-'We were thrown from our horses'...the ladies were greatly concerned
-being told the family received no hurt, they were extremely glad.
-but being informed that we were almost killed by the fright they were vastly sorry.
-but hearing that we had a very good night they were extremely glad again.
