I remember reading that now. But I still don't buy it, and I don't get it. This is where some of the ridiculous-ness of this book comes in, IMHO. I'd rather die with the sin of breaking a promise to an evil person who did not deserve my loyalty or honor (and who, in fact, stole my honor), than die with the sin of abetting this betrayer's future crimes by my silence.
