When reading   Written by Elena (5/10/2005 1:21 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, It is all very uncertain!, penned by Lynn
Are you new?

The word "uncertain" comes to mind first of all. The letter is written intentionally vaguely, I suppose so that the people knowing some hidden circumstances would understand (the ladies the letter is addressed to), but nobody else - I'm sure the Primrose family misunderstood the message ("to protect virtue"), one and all.

As for not opening the letter - three women, whom the contents of it concerns most closely... impossible. :) Anyway, it is needed for the plot.
