Ch.7: Is this what "philosophical arguments"...   Written by Line (5/2/2005 8:46 p.m.)
Are you new?

...were supposed to be like in the 18th century, or was Goldsmith (I hope) making fun of them? I've read this one over several times, and while I find several of the "arguments" hilarious, I still haven't figured out what they're arguing about! (IMHO, girls had the advantage if they didn't have to waste their time learning to argue like this! ;-)
