the Primrose path?   Written by Barbara (5/1/2005 9:09 p.m.)
Are you new?

The family's name reminds me of this quote from Hamlet, where Ophelia is talking to her brother Laertes after he has advised her to watch herself with Hamlet:

"Do not, as some ungracious pastors do,
Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven,
Whiles, like a puffed and reckless libertine,
Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads
And recks not his own rede."

I'm wondering whether the family name in the story might have been chosen expressly to bring this to mind!
