Stalker?   Written by Robbin (10/28/2012 1:13 p.m.)
Are you new?

Is not Willoughby exhibiting some stalker-like traits and activities? He was probably stalking about Barton Cottage to discover something about the women when Marianne tumbled down the hill in Ch. 9. He admitted to Elinor (44) that he watched them out of Mrs. Jennings house in town and watched them from doorways and shops when they were out. He follows Marianne to Cleveland in Ch. 44, somewhere he ought not to be, and then, per Ch. 50, keeps tabs on her activities for life? I know Willoughby is not the kind of dangerous stalker too often read about in today’s newspapers but his obsession with Marianne is creepy. (;D)
