is that the more he talks about all his own expenses and talks about what other people’s obligation to his sisters the more he draws attention to his own neglect. I often see this with people who have a guilty conscience about something. They’ll go on and on trying to justify themselves and only end up drawing attention to what they did wrong. It seems to me that he wants to believe he has done all that was right and all that he possibly could have done but deep down he must realize he hasn’t or he wouldn’t feel the need to keep proving it.
