Won't defend Mrs Jennings   Written by LouAnn (10/12/2012 10:39 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, know thyself, penned by Stephanie
Are you new?

She can be a thoughtless gossip as well as making a kind offer to take the girls to town. She understands some things very well and others not at all.

I think her lack of understaning of Marianne is because her own daughters don't appear to be people of very deep feelings. Charlotte and Mary probably did get their cries out and then were entertained in the evening when they were girls.
