From her emotional response I would think she was but then there’s this:
"Months!" cried Marianne, with strong surprise. "No -- nor many weeks." … it gave Elinor pleasure, as it produced a reply from Marianne so expressive of confidence in Willoughby and knowledge of his intentions.
And later when she thinks Edward is Willoughby she says, “…. I knew how soon he would come."
If she’s been jilted, or even if she doesn’t know when she will see Willoughby again or where she stands with him, I can understand her grief. But, if the confidence she expresses in his return is genuine and she’s grieving over a brief separation I have less patience.
