It was not for fun, but Marianne is the one who walked around Norland the day before their departure, bemoaning her regrets, and lamenting her loss. She was alone and indulging herself, emotionally. She repeats this behavior when Willoughby leaves, with solitary walks, and personally moving concertos.
Marianne is also an adherent of picturesque beauty, and is in raptures with music, literature, art and landscapes that fulfill that description. I can readily imagine her being swept by feelings, even were no one around with which to share them.
However, since we are not shown any other of her more playful moments, I will simply say that I can picture them, in a personality like hers, even without a younger sister to encourage them.
