I think Marianne's behavior is truly a reflection of her own internal truth, and not how she thinks a person with sensibility should act.

She may have once programmed herself to behave as she does, but it is now engrained in her: she loves, she condemns, she rhapsodizes, she rationalizes, all based on her actual beliefs and emotions.
