Narrator’s voice vs. the Dashwood’s   Written by amytat (9/22/2012 4:45 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The narrator, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

I take the part where they first meet her and are put off by her lack of frankness and warmth to be the Dashwood’s opinions but to me the part at the beginning of chapter 7, where it talks about their need for company and lack of other interests, reads like background information from the narrator. To me that part doesn’t come across as the Dashwood’s feelings.
