the Old Mr D   Written by Bridget D (9/18/2012 7:16 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Timing of Mr Dashwood's death, penned by Lisa EBK
Are you new?

I think that though he "meant not to be unkind", he was just infatuated with the little Horror Harry, and left the estate tied up for him. True that he may have expected Mr Henry D to live a long life and to be able to provide for his daughters out of savings made from the estate, but since little Harry and John D did not need the money and Mr Henry D with his 3 girls DID, he was pretty selfish in his desire to spoil the child furhter by leaving the property to him.
