I was also thinking that Margaret, being so much younger than her younger sisters, would make Mrs. Dashwood more worried about their situation. Margaret needs to be provided for, educated, and so forth. She is too young to be married off. So, Mrs. Dashwood needs a steady and stable income and home for her and Margaret for several more years.
