Are you new?

I do not want to Austenuate, but in some other novels, Author Austen sketches knowledge of a character by presupposing what they will do, or what will happen to them, and the plot will contradict it.

I have in mind chiefly when she says that Mr. Bingley's ease of temper lets his friends think he will stay on as a tenant early in Pride and Prejudice. Not quite the same thing, I know, but I will take any hope for Margaret I can!
