Margaret's role   Written by Ramya (9/15/2012 9:28 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Afterthoughts, penned by Stephanie

I think poor Margaret's role is to reflect and amplify Marianne's romantic sensibilities. It is perhaps a hint from the author that when romantic ideas are combined with a lack of sense, it makes for poor prognosis. Margaret may perhaps be compared with Kitty of P&P, who blindly follows her sister Lydia rather than Jane or Lizzy.
