Are you new?

Lucy is married to Robert, and she pays court constantly to Mrs Ferrars. Even for someone as good at it as Lucy, I imagine it could be tiring.

I think JA gave us a fairly realistic ending here, especially since Lucy's talents allow her to fool those less discerning people who believe her flattery. And Lucy's "punishment" will be in continuing to live the life she had always worked so hard to attain.

As long as she doesn't bother Elinor anymore, I'm not unhappy with the result!
