so I don't think she was raped. She wouldn't even tell Col Brandon who the father of her child was initially -- she was loyal to Willoughby even though he had abandoned her.

Eliza didn't write to Col Brandon until she was nearly ready to give birth, so all that had to be in her letter was a confession that she was pregnant, unwed, and desperately in need of his assistance.
