I think that it would be possible for Marianne's passion to overcome her moral sense IF (and it's a very big IF) she & Willoughby were alone in a comfortable setting and he was being very, very persuasive. Not all unwed mothers were/are immoral or amoral or lacking in standards, after all.

I do think that Marianne might yield to temptation & W's persuasion, and then she might try to rationalize her behaviour afterwards. I think it's less likely that such a thing would happen to Elinor, in part because she would be more careful to avoid situations where she might feel temptation.
