I agree, but rakish men are often like that, wanting THEIR wives to be paragons of virtue and thinking that their wives shoudl behave totally differently to their mistresses, ie enjoying lively conversation and outrageous behaviour in a mistress but insisting on complete propriety adn dullness in a wife... The "good women dont enjoy s&x" syndrome....
