Point of view switch   Written by Barbara (10/9/2009 1:10 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Chapter 40: the marriage misunderstanding, penned by LouAnn
Are you new?

I am trying to think of any other time in Jane Austen's works where she presents a scene from one character's perspective, then goes back and presents the same scene from a different character's perspective with a 'here's what really happened' preface.

Are there any other scenes like that? We do sometimes have characters filling in gaps in stories by telling them later, but not the same scene played out twice like this, that I can recall.
