for the mails since the receiver paid for postage. My interest was merely academic on the subject of mail-forwarding, since I don't think Willoughby would have responded to them even if he had received them.

As I mentioned in my previous post, just because I blame some part of Eliza II's conduct, it does not mean I absolve Willoughby at all in any way or form. I don't. Practically, this makes no difference to Eliza's situation, I agree, but I don't see what's wrong in discussing it. After all, that's what we are here for. I don't think I am rubbing it in Eliza's face since she doesn't really exist. ;-)
