I think Eliza's being punished, what with a child to bring up and a loss of respectability there is hardly a need to rub it in that she was partially to blame.


That's all theory. Practically it is Willoghby now to be blamed IMO
especially as we see him absolutely unaffected.

All other cases like Lydia etc didn't involve a child, so we don't know if Wickham would have taken responsibility or not.

by not accepting his child Willoughby has sort of confirmed his villainy IMO
