Sorry I haven't stepped in to support you, but you've been saying everything much clearer than I would be able to! I think where the schism lies is people who only want to blame Willoughby versus those who think that both parties should share some of the blame. I'm definitely in the latter group. While I admit that as the elder person, Willoughby owns the biggest share of the blame, saying that Eliza is not to blame at all seems rather irrational to me. You've been arguing the two-to-blame side extremely well! Thanks from all the others who do agree with you, but don't have anything to add!
